Pickleball 101- An introduction to pickleball for ADULT beginners.

Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, over a net. Pickleball is played on a court that is about 1/3 the size of a tennis court. It has been described as the fastest growing sport in the nation.

Instructor: Cliff Teixeira will be instructing this course. He has been instructing beginners here in Barrington for the past 3 years.  Cliff is also an IPTPA- Level 1, Certified Pickleball Instructor and is the USA Pickleball District Ambassador of Rhode Island.

WHO: Adult beginners ages 18+

WHAT: This is a beginning Adult pickleball course in which students will develop the basic skills to play the game of pickleball. Students will also learn the fundamental rules, basic strategies, and court positioning for doubles play. 

WHERE: Kent Street Courts

WHEN: Thursday evenings 5:00pm-6:30pm July 14th-August 11th

FEE: $55 Barrington Resident;  $65 Non Resident.
Includes a nonrefundable $5 processing fee.

Paddles will be provided.
