The Holocaust - A three part exploration on the Holocaust: 

Teaching about the Holocaust, and using Elie Wiesel’s Night as a guiding text has been part of Barbara Wahlberg's teaching for almost 30 years.  You might say it has turned into a mission. This workshop will be three-fold. The first meeting will be specifically to discuss the reading of the book NIGHT by Elie Wiesel. There will be guided questions, but attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss whatever is on their minds about the Holocaust. On our first meeting, additional reading materials and web links will be provided for further discussion. At the next two meetings, ranging we will explore the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website, and discuss further readings and films. Ms. Wahlberg will also discuss her involvement with the 2016 Rhode Island State Law mandating Holocaust and Genocide Education in the public schools, as well as telling about her own journey which brought her to this point in her career.
