BROADWAY DIVAS
Join us as we explore “Broadway Divas”, the theatrical lives of some of the most talented and famous women on Broadway over the past 100 years. Some of these stars will include Ethel Merman, Mary Martin, Carol Channing, Pearl Bailey, Bernadette Peters, Julie Andrews and Chita Rivera to name a few. The format of the class will be collaborative. For those of you who choose to present, we encourage teams of 2 or 3 to create a 30-40 minute talk for the rest of the class. As coordinators, we will help you develop your content. YouTube, Google and the internet are all great sources for information and are easy tools for gathering facts. After you register we will be sending out a syllabus giving the dates for each of the Diva presentations. At our first class meeting, you will be given the opportunity to choose your Diva. We encourage early registration to assure a “seat at the table.”

Location: Barrington Town Hall, 283 County Rd. in the School Department Committee room. There are plenty of free parking spaces.
Dates: Mondays from 1:00-3:00 from 9/23-11/4.
There will be no class on 9/30 due to the Jewish Holiday. There also will be no classes on Columbus Day, October 14, and Veteran’s Day, November 11.
Cost for the class is $58 for members and $68 for non-members.
