KIWIS’ PARADISE: A Tour of New Zealand Wednesday, July 31 The small (about the size of Colorado), seemingly insignificant islands in the southwest Pacific that make up New Zealand offer a rich and diverse array of landscapes, from subtropical and primeval forests to snow-capped mountains and ice-age glaciers. Kate Weymouth and her husband joined the American Horticultural Society on a “Gardens, Wine and Wilderness” tour of this magnificent country. Join Kate for an armchair journey through forests of ancient kauri trees, glacial lakes bordered by fields of foxglove, and stunning private gardens, each passionately designed and created out of acres of undeveloped land.

BLC and the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment continue a collaboration to offer more opportunities to travel the world without leaving town! We continue with outstanding presentations on different areas of our beautiful earth. Most presentations will take place on Wednesday afternoons, please note day and dates next to title, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment, where refreshments will be served at each illustrated lecture. Additional programs will be offered in the fall term. FEE for Each Session: $10 per adult/$5 senior citizen rate. Cash or check payable to Town of Barrington may be mailed to BLC OR delivered to either the BLC office or the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment.  Pre-registration is requested, but not required.
